My Experience of March Meet The Maker 2022
I participated in @joannehawker ‘s March Meet The Maker Instagram challenge in March. It is the first time I have participated in a challenge like this one and (spoiler alert) managed to complete it!
At the start of the challenge, Joanne provided a prompt list of topics for everyone to use for inspiration for Instagram posts every weekday of the month. The prompts helped us to tell the story of our brand.
As elidi.studio (a newly created brand, I have since abandond) is a relatively new brand and Insta account, this was an excellent opportunity to create more content and introduce more people to me and the business.
I enjoyed creating for this challenge, sharing behind the scenes and some personal stories. I showcased my work, old and new, and was inspired to create more artwork. I also loved seeing the work of others, discovering new creative accounts and engaging with like-minded people.
In the week or so following the end of this challenge, I have actually struggled to remain consistent with posting on Instagram, so recognise the benefits of having the accountability of the challenge.
I would highly recommend taking part in this challenge in the future. I certainly will be next year, and I will be looking out for new challenges to do in the upcoming months.
