Kefalonia Inspired Art print
In 2016 my ex-boyfriend and I went on the most fantastic holiday to Kefalonia, one of the Greek Islands. It was our first holiday abroad together, and we were away for two whole weeks.
Week one was all about relaxing. We didn't have a car for the first week and instead spent most of our time by the pool or walking to the local pebble beach. We enjoyed some lovely greek food and were pampered by our accommodation host as we sat by the pool. She'd bring us a little cup of yoghurt or some melon to eat while we cooked ourselves in the sun.
In week two, we rented a car and explored the island together. The greek islands are simply stunning, and we travelled the island enjoying the sun, the views and singing very loud to old classics. One of the stops on our trip was to the lookout point, which overlooks the famous Myrots Beach. If you google Kefalonia, you'll soon come across a picture of this stunning white pebble beach. The view from above is fantastic, with the bright white beach against the vivid blues of the med. It's not the most accessible beach with a steep path down and not the most comfortable being wholly covered in pebbles. But the view is so good.
I love the view so much that when I got into illustration in the last couple of years, one of the first things I created was this Kefalonia Art Print. I love the colours, and I think I captured the vivid blues of the sea well. My parents have also been to Kefalonia on a separate occasion, so they have this print in their kitchen, and it looks great.
If you'd like a copy of this print in your home, you can purchase the image to download and print at home from my online shop.
